Fillums

 It seems to me I spend more time on making films than doing anything else at the moment. It goes in phases, I suppose. Who doesn't like watching themselves on tele? After 15 hours of initial tuition, I have grown in confidence and made a fair number of short films. I call them 'fillum' in memory of my late mum, whose pronunciation made us all laugh.

I learn more each time. They reveal the changing moods of the seasons. They tell stories of places we've visited or stayed at. I keep it simple, using the app, Kinemaster. My partner has recently introduced me to multiple overlays and special effects, so, watch out!  Anything could happen now. Or possibly not! Keeping it simple is good too.

As the cost of Kinemaster has risen to much more than I can afford to pay later this year, I will have to find an alternative. My initial searches lead me to believe there are many alternatives out there for low or nil cost. Watch this space.

I made the last two fillums, using a new video editing app, VLL0. It's not quite the same, as Kinemaster, but, using what I have learned, I am managing to navigate myself around it good enough. Some of the options are even better and, for a reasonable, one-off, life-time fee, it's advert-free great! It is free, but you will get adverts.
