Edgelands
This is an area, which is part of my regular walk towards the river (Mersey). The hills are the result of the wilding of a disused waste tip. It grew into this semi-wild place, attracting birds and insects as well as young people on bikes, dog walkers and me. There are many places like this in our towns and cities, close to the edge. Sadly, progress catches up and the site is now behind tall hoardings of a building site. It doesn't look like they are building on this space, but whatever is revealed in time will be sanitised.
